Rosa Alonso is Creator of the bilingual technology lifestyle and entertainment blog Rosa Alonso Digital.  Originally launched as Mi Vida Tec – with Rosa Alonso, Rosa Alonso Digital is a technology news and lifestyle “made simple and fun” initiative that informs, educates, entertains and empowers audiences via technology in that intersection of “life” and “tech.”  Recognizing that Latinos/Hispanics are avid consumers of mobile/digital technologies and social media, the blog features both English as well as Spanish-language content for the Spanish-dominant sector of the U.S. Latino population, an important and often overlooked user/audience.

Launched in October of 2012 on social media – Facebook and Twitter – and now it’s own destination on www.rosaalonsodigital.com, the concept has won accolades from users and industry leaders. In March 2013, Alonso was recognized as an innovator in the digital/social media space with the prestigious 2013 South by South West (SXSWi) “The Innovator” Award, which recognizes digital leaders at its annual interactive festival.  Rosa is a recognized TV personality and tech expert. Known as “Rosa La Tecnológica” (Rosa the Techie) in Spanish-language Latino media, she appears regularly as technology expert for NBC/Universal’s Telemundo NY & Network popular programs, including the Emmy Award-winning “Noticiero Telemundo: Primera Edición,” “Acceso Total” and “Al Rojo Vivo.”

Alonso is an media influencer and practicing marketing and technology/digital expert. As a marketing, mobile/digital, and multimedia senior executive for Fortune 500 companies for over 15 years, she is also President of Rosa Alonso Media and serves as consultant and adviser to corporations, media companies and start-ups, often with a focus on mobile/digital technologies, multimedia content development and distribution and multicultural/Hispanic audience segmentation.
